Hello Oppo fellows!

When driving (hard or not) do you have a particular choice regarding the shoes you are using? If so, what kind of shoes? sneaker, racing boots, driving shoes / gomminos?

I would like to read your "Oppinions"

When I had a car to go out driving in, I would make sure and wear these. Pretty much my exact shoes. But they are about to be retired and replaced with another pair that will be similar. The fit is close to my foot, and not all bulky. Makes it easy to feel the peddle and move my foot around.

I love the "Oppinions" bit. Bravo.

When I go do closed-circuit driving I like wearing my converse. They have the thinnest soul and allow me to feel the pedals best. If I am doing just fun driving, anything other than sandals. I even drove with my slippers the other day, quite comfortably. Military boots, snow shoes, formal shoes, you name it. It just takes about 1 minute of driving until I stop over-revving and find the sweet spot in the clutch again.

I wanna buy proper racing shoes, I wanna learn to heel-toe as well but my biggest problem is my feet are too big and its too cumbersome. Besides, my 370 can do that for me so I don't feel as bad lol.

I love Pumas. I've been wearing suede Pumas for the last 7 years because they seem to fit my foot the best, they come in awesome color combos, and they're incredibly durable.

These are my favorite. I've had them for over 5 years and they're still almost perfect.

I have an old beat up pair of black high-top Chuck's wiht holes everywhere. They are sentimental and perfect for heel-toeing.

Well I use these bulky things as for me it has perfect grip for pedal control plus they are great for Heel-Toe downshifting

My rule of thumb: slim soles and snug fit!

All you need is sensitivity: loafers are perfect (gomminos even more) but any shoes with a slim sole it is pretty good.

No flip flops or bare feet (they slips).

The gomminos are my choice but I have to give my respect to the choices from our Oppo friends.

...or New Balance Minimus'.

For the last few years, I've worn these two product lines almost exclusively. I love them!

They're running shoes, but the thin soles and lightweight uppers make them great for great driving.

I am a sucker for a decent pair of loafers so I will wear them in late spring\summer, even when I am not driving :D

For winter I got a pair of sabelt similar to these: waterproof (kinda)

I have pretty much the same in brown/red - I bought them randomly just because they were on sale and looked good, but then I realized how great they were to drive in.

I can drive in whatever: winter boots, Ariats, running shoes, stilettos, bare feet. Preference is for bare feet or the Ariats, maybe heels just for the novelty.

When on two wheels, I have a sweet pair of Alpinestars.

I do a lot of barefoot driving during the summer. Unless you have aluminum pedals, I don't see what the problem would be.

Gotta be the loafers for driving. I change in and out of my dress shoes in to loafers when I take my P-car to work. It's also because I have wide feet, which don't mix well with 3 pedals.

Sandy feet\ socked feet aren't really grippy :)

And personally I don't find driving barefoot really sanitary...

Like, for serious? Or are you kidding around? Personally, I haven't had an issue in 15 years, and I'd never dream of driving in flip-flops. Flip-flops slip terribly, and it's much safer to remove them before you sit down and drive.

I'm entirely serious. Bare feet or open toe is a great way to loose toes in an accident. I've seen pictures, man.

I used to be a barefoot driver, but then I got a pair of Born Seans:

Kinja'd!!!

I've got orange laces in mine. It comes with both colors, and there's a bunch of different combos available.

They're insanely comfortable, second only to my last pair of Borns, look sharp, and have the perfect driving sole. Flat & thin so you have good feel, but stiff enough you can use just the edge for heel toeing without it slipping off the pedal.

Although I have a pair of Ted Baker driving loafers and a pair of Adidas/Goodyear driver sneakers, both of which are great for "serious" driving, realistically most of my driving—both of the intentionally fun variety and of the boring commute variety—is done in whatever shoes I'm wearing to work that day, which means a variety of dress shoes and boots (winter) or loafers (summer). Today, I'm going to be doing some fun driving in these:

I tried for a bit, but then realized I hate running. Super flat feet. Biking is more my thing. I will try the running thing again this summer.
